Titan the Robot Guest Stars at Scifest

Titan Robot Guest Stars at ScifestTitan the Robot will be joined by former children’s Television Presenter Johnny Ball and The One Show’s resident Scientist and Inventor Dr Marty Jopson for a special family fun day.

The festival will take place at Wolverhampton City Campus later this year.

Scifest, in association with the Telford Manufacturing Partnership, The Black Country Skills Factory and PayCare, is a week-long series of activities aimed at showing school pupils and families the wonder of science and engineering.

The University has had an excellent response from local schools that will be attending the festival during the week and almost all tickets have now been allocated.

Dr Derek Walton, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University, said: “The programme for SciFest Saturday has grown once again, with a wider-range of activities across the site.

“We are delighted that Titan has been able to attend the Festival and look forward to his brand of engineering-entertainment. 

“Everyone is welcome and we recommend that the full day is required to experience the range of activities we have in store for the whole family to enjoy.”

Titan the Robot is an entertainment concept utilised by event management companies worldwide to add something very special to any festival and has worked alongside superstars includingWill.i.am, Rihanna, JLS, Will Smith and Jackie Chan.

Other events taking place include; The Classroom Medics, Think Tank Planetarium, Animal Man, Dr Musgrove’s Marvels, Mysteries and Mayhem, Lego Education, Computer Games Workshop, Who Wants to be a Science Millionaire?, Crime Scene Forensics, Robot Workshop and the chance to try out a range of science and engineering experiments and activities.

Scifest runs from Tuesday 1 July to Saturday 5 July 2014.

Scifest family day is on Saturday 5 July starting at 10am and ending at 4pm.
