Charter for improved experience

A new agreement has been drawn up outlining what students at the University of Wolverhampton can expect from pre-entry through to graduation.

The Student Charter has been drawn up by the University and the Students’ Union and has come into effect for the start of this new academic year.

It aims to set out what students can expect from their time at University and what is expected of them in return.

It will apply to all students on all courses with the aim of providing an enhanced student experience.

Dan Batchelor, President of the University of Wolverhampton’s Students’ Union, said: ““The Student Charter is a guide for our entire student body, setting a foundation for their academic activities.

“The charter was created following a lengthy period of research and most importantly discussion with students attending the University.

“We are confident that this charter will assist people with getting the most from their experience of being a student at the University of Wolverhampton.”

Jon Elsmore, Dean of Students at the University, said: “The Charter has been introduced in response to the new higher fees but also reflects the shared expectations of the values and standards we are seeking to promote across all of our learning community.

“What is important to us is that, whatever people are studying, their experience at the University is a great one”

The charter will be reviewed on an annual basis and will take into account feedback as part of service improvement.
