Paul Hampton, from the University’s School of Technology, said: “It was a great day and nice to be able to bring together people at the University with businesses and other partners for good causes.

“I’d like to thank all those people who were involved and all those companies which were so generous by pledging support, sponsorship or prizes.

“I have already started planning next year’s and it’d be fantastic to get even more teams involved and beat this year’s fundraising total.”

As part of the sponsorship by Wolverhampton Audi auctioned a prize to drive a new Audi car for a weekend.

A range of teams will be taking part including one representing the Office of the Vice Chancellor alongside teams from Ruddells Jewellers, Lend Lease, Thomas Vale, DMW, Cardinal Griffin School in Cannock, Severn Trent Water, Mott MacDonald, WMCCE, CDL and Star City.
