Professor to join expert panel
A leading University of Wolverhampton professor will be taking part in a panel discussion focused on a documentary film about World War Two’s ‘forgotten army’.
Professor of Conflict Studies Stephen Badsey appeared in the documentary film, ‘For Your Tomorrow’, providing expert historical commentary on the events it depicts.
The film will be shown at the Light House Cinema in Wolverhampton on Tuesday, 31 January 2012 at 2pm.
Professor Badsey will join an expert panel including Producer/Director Don Clark and Express and Star Chief Features Writer Peter Rhodes following the showing.
‘For Your Tomorrow' is a thoughtful and touching documentary about WWII's ‘forgotten army’, who fought in Burma, and the 21st Century youngsters whose freedom they guaranteed.
Professor Badsey said: “This film tells a remarkable and moving story of ordinary men at war far from home. It is a privilege to take part, and to help bring it to a younger audience.”
The documentary film was premiered last year at the Light House Cinema to an audience of veterans, their families and invited guests. The showing on 31 January will be attended by University of Wolverhampton students, amongst others.
