University ready for visitors

23/02/2012

People hoping to improve their career credentials are invited to an Open Day at the University of Wolverhampton.

The event will take place at the Wolverhampton and Walsall Campuses on Saturday, 3 March 2012 from 10am until 3pm.

There will be opportunities to look around the facilities, tour the campuses and meet prospective lecturers, as well as attending subject specific workshops and talks.

Current students will also be on hand to talk about what University is really like, and experts will be available to talk through finances and careers.

Danielle Spittle, Education Events Manager, said: “Open Days are a great way of finding out about University life and courses, and we’ve got lots happening on 3 March. People can visit the subject fair to chat with our academics and find out more about the subjects they’re interested in, while in the Student Support Zone there’ll be information about the services we offer to students.

“Both Wolverhampton City and Walsall Campuses will be open, so we recommend that you go to the campus that teaches the subject you're interested in.

“At Wolverhampton City Campus you will find applied sciences, art & design, business, computing & IT, engineering & the built environment, health and nursing, law, social sciences and communications. Meanwhile we’ve got sport, music, dance, drama, leisure and lifestyle industries, midwifery, nursing, teaching and education at our Walsall Campus.”
