Taste of University life for Italian students

25/10/2011

The 18 students from the University of Turin attended lectures at the University of Wolverhampton over a four week period.

The visit was organised as part of an on-going partnership between the two universities which is now in its 12th year.

The students from the Faculty of Political Science are studying a variety of subjects including English language, Law, History, Media and Politics.

Eleanor Andrews, Senior Lecturer in Italian and Course Leader for Film Studies, organised the visit this year. She said: “This is a record number of Italian visitors. As always, it is a pleasure to have students from Turin with us in Wolverhampton. They have settled in very well to student life here, and have enjoyed all the marvellous facilities which we have to offer.”

Most of the students stayed with host families in Wolverhampton, while the rest were accommodated in University halls of residence. The study trip was part of a special programme agreed by the University of Wolverhampton’s School of Law, Social Sciences and Communications (LSSC) which was originally set up in 1999 with Professor Giuseppina Cortese in Turin.
