Students offer help and advice to residents

11/11/2011

Officers, staff and volunteers from the University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union (SU) are joining colleagues from the Police, Community Support, neighbourhood wardens, Wolverhampton City Council Housing team and Endsleigh Insurance for the ‘All Out Afternoon’.

They will be out and about in Whitmore Reans in Wolverhampton on Wednesday, 16 November 2011 from 4pm, talking to residents and providing information and advice about safety and local services.

Gemma Wright, Welfare Vice President, said: “Our aim is to say a big hello, distribute useful information and build strong relationships with the local community.

“This is a fantastic multi-agency activity that will encourage students and other residents to engage with a number of key local authorities and representatives.

“If you see us out and about in your street on the day, do open your door or stop for a chat and find out how to utilise the services available to you.”
