Italian students visit Wolverhampton

19/10/2010

The 14 students from the University of Turin attended lectures at the University of Wolverhampton for four weeks.

The visit was organised as part of an on-going partnership between the two universities which is now in its 10th year.

The students from the Faculty of Political Science are studying subjects including business English, Law, History, Media and Politics.

Eleanor Andrews, Senior Lecturer in Italian and Course Leader for Film Studies, organised this year’s visit. She said: “Once again, it was a delight to have students from Turin with us in Wolverhampton. As well as attending modules they also helped with conversation classes for my students taking Italian as part of the Wolverhampton Languages Programme.”

All of the students stayed with host families in Wolverhampton, and the visit ended on Friday (Oct 15). The study trip was part of a special programme agreed by the University of Wolverhampton’s School of Law, Social Sciences and Communications (LSSC) which was originally set up in 1999 with Professor Giuseppina Cortese in Turin.
