Small number of Clearing places released

26/08/2010

After following up applications from last week, the University has been able to release around 100 places back into the system.

The places are in Engineering, Computing, Art and Design, Dance, Drama and Music.

Applicants have three days to complete their forms following an offer through Clearing, and if this is not successful the place can be released.

Academic Registrar Paul Travill said: “Having followed up offers made to around 1000 people when Clearing opened last week, we have a small number of places that are available again.

“Anyone interested in a place is advised to visit our website www.wlv.ac.uk/clearing where all the latest information is listed or to call the Clearing hotline 0800 953 3222.”

The University also has opportunities available for part-time and postgraduates courses.

Staff at the University have been handling queries about Clearing since A-Level results day last Thursday. The Clearing hotline opened at 7am on August 19 and was inundated with calls.

An online Clearing clinic was launched on the Monday before results day and has also been popular with applicants.
