MP to visit University

Mike Foster MP, the Department for International Development's Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, will visit the Telford Campus on Monday 11 May, from 9.30am until 11.30am.

He will meet members of the University’s Centre for International Development and Training, who are part of a programme to reform the Bangladesh Civil Service.

Managing At the Top Phase 2 (MATT2) is a seven year programme designed to develop senior managers and reform human resource management within the Bangladesh Civil Service. The UK element of the programme involves a six week visit to the University by the participants, who are who are senior civil servants within the administration of Bangladesh.

Philip Dearden, Head of the Centre for International Development and Training, said: “We are delighted that Mike Foster MP is visiting the University of Wolverhampton. He is set to talk to the programme participants about the Department for International Development's programmes in Bangladesh and to answer the questions of this prestigious group of visitors to the University.”

The participants have been based at the Telford Campus throughout their stay. They have been working on proposals for pieces of work that they will carry out when they return to Bangladesh.
