Students blogging China experiences
The unique language and culture visit was piloted last year and proved so successful that 15 more students have jetted off this year.
The China Study Trip gives students the opportunity to visit Shenzhen and Hong Kong and enjoy unique experiences.
It will be held primarily in Shenzhen Polytechnic, which the University of Wolverhampton enjoys strong links with, and include language lessons, martial arts and cultural activities.
Jo Gittens, Director, International, said: “The University is increasing opportunities for students to visit other countries with the aim of broadening their horizons, whatever subject they are studying.
“This visit is an excellent example of the opportunities we can provide for our students and the important partnerships we have developed.”
International Officer Robbie Roberts, who organised the trip and accompanied the students, said: “The feedback we had last year was incredible and we’re sure this year’s students will also have an amazing time.”
The group comprises students from six countries, many of whom have been part-sponsored by their academic Schools within the University.
The University is also actively pursuing other destinations for International Study Trips including a trip to India for School of Art & Design students in January 2009.
