Let's Talk Climate Action

  • When? 29 September 2023 - 29 September 2023 , 08:30-11:00
  • Where? National Brownfield Institute, Cambridge Street, Wolverhampton, UK

Businesses who are in the construction industry and who supply products and services to the construction sector should not miss this informative networking session taking place at Wolverhampton’s new £17.5m National Brownfield Institute (NBI).

The built environment is responsible for almost 40% of the UKs carbon emissions. The West Midlands has set a target to meet Net Zero by 2041, making it imperative for all stakeholders to focus on Climate Action. City of Wolverhampton seeks to place the Net Zero agenda at the heart of every activity, be it supporting residents, the business community or the third sector.

About the event

Attendees will hear from professionals and experts at City of Wolverhampton Council, University of Wolverhampton and leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out company Tilbury Douglas, on how Wolverhampton is leading the regions green growth agenda, the opportunities for the construction sector and businesses in the supply chain, and the support available for businesses through the facilities at the NBI and University and how to access them.

The National Brownfield Institute forms part of University of Wolverhampton’s £120m built-environment super campus at Springfield and is working with academics and businesses to develop new methods of construction and ways of regenerating contaminated land.
