The Horror Revival: What Scares Us Today

A refugee couple struggle to adjust to their new life in an English town. A devout hospice nurse becomes obsessed with her dying patient's soul...This talk examines a string of recent critically acclaimed horror films, using the work of media theorists to reveal what really terrifies us today and why. Films under discussion will include Host (2020), His House (2020), Saint Maud (2019), Hereditary (2018), Midsommar (2019), Us (2019), The Invisible Man (2020) and Relic (2020).
