Hands-on sound for film: An Interactive Foley Session
- When? 10 June 2020 , 18:30
- Where? University of Wolverhampton in Stafford, Staffordshire Pl, Stafford, UK
Foley sound has been an integral part of filmmaking for decades, ever since Jack Foley started to add sounds to otherwise silent movies in the 1920s. Foley artists perform sound effects in real time to enhance or replace the audio captured on set. They work with a wide variety of household objects, creating sounds while watching the film and listening to audio cues on headphones.
This interactive workshop will give you a hands (and feet)-on experience of designing and performing with a variety of sounds. You will be able to add sounds and dialogue to a film clip, culminating in the premiere of your finished masterpiece!
