As a Fine Art Photographer and flaneur, Andrew Martin specialises in landscapes, particularly the urban. Shooting in all formats including digital, analogue and mobile technology Martin likes to question the perception of beauty within the urban landscape. He does this by considering the artistic views of beauty drawn from the rules of composition.

 

In this project Martin considers the old and the new within the urban landscape and the connections made by modern developments. Documenting the centre of Birmingham, with its constantly changing landscape, Martin captures the identity and beauty of a large city.

 

​Other areas of interest include rural landscapes, seascapes and architecture. Martin has travelled around Birmingham, Staffordshire, Snowdonia and London to capture the humdrum of the towns and cities.
