MA Degree Show 2019

Wolverhampton School of Art is delighted to present a dynamic and diverse exhibition of postgraduate work. This year, we have joined forces with Wolverhampton Art Gallery and The New Art Gallery Walsall to provide an international and professional launch pad for our students. I would very much like to thank both galleries for their support and continued engagement with the Art School and for providing so many ongoing opportunities for emerging artists and designers to reach a broader public.

The students have come together to study Master’s courses at the university of Wolverhampton from a variety of national and international backgrounds and with diverse portfolios of professional and educational experience. They have joined our courses to use our world-class workshops and studio facilities and to work with our staff of internationally renowned artists, designers and theorists. Each year, a unique creative community emerges in which staff, students and visiting artists in residence collaborate, debate ideas, explore methods and build new approaches to practice that they couldn’t realise independently. The exhibition is an important showcase for this new and exciting work.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the graduating students well in their future careers and practice and I look forward to hearing about their successes and welcoming them back to the School as leading alumni in their fields.
