Struggling with statistics or stuck on calculus? We’re here to help.

The Skills for Learning team is excited to launch a new Maths Support service designed to assist students tackling mathematical elements within their studies. Whether you're grappling with general maths topics like calculus and integration, or navigating the complexities of SPSS and statistical analysis, this service offers tailored support to boost your confidence and understanding.

If maths isn’t your strong suit but features in your course, this is your space to ask questions, get guidance, and build your skills in a friendly, approachable environment.

Initially, our maths support service is available through 1:1 appointments and through our skills workshops.

Appointments:

Students can book an appointment to discuss various maths and statistics skills and to receive some advice on improving these skills. To book, students can go to https://www.wlv.ac.uk/lib/skills-for-learning/maths-support/

Workshops:

Skills for Learning's first maths skills workshops will run on Friday, 14th November.  'Introduction to Drug Calculations' will be a regular workshop, bookable from here: https://www.wlv.ac.uk/lib/skills-for-learning/skills-workshops-sessions/
