Reading for pleasureArticle date: Friday 29 September 2017
We are pleased to report that a brand new 'Reading for pleasure' collection has arrived in our learning centres.
We want to actively promote a reading culture within the University – reading for pleasure has been shown to improve academic achievement, as well as promoting wellbeing. A range of popular fiction titles has been selected and is now ready to borrow. The main collection is on display on the ground floor of Harrison Learning Centre, but the stock will also be rotated around other sites.
This also links in with the 'Big Read' initiative through which all new FSE students have been sent a copy of 'My name is Leon' by Kit de Waal ahead of their arrival at Wolverhampton, to provide them with some common ground.
We hope you enjoy reading some of the new books; if you do please let us know!
