Welcome to Wolverhampton. During your time studying with us, you will be right at home as part of our University of Wolverhampton community.

Wolverhampton is a multi-cultural city and home to a large South Asian community, which makes up 17.5% of the city’s population. Indian cuisine is popular in the Midlands, where you’ll find many highly rated curry houses including the city’s award-winning, Michelin-rated Bilash restaurant.

You’ll find plenty to do whether art, music, film, shopping or sport is your thing – with local cricket clubs and football teams offering the chance to cheer on from the sidelines. Take advantage of University opportunities too, such as organised student trips and student-run societies, including bhangra and the Hindu Society.

After you’ve completed your degree, you can stay connected to the University through our Alumni Association, which offers great benefits.

Postgraduate

Requirements will vary dependant on recognition of Institution and scoring system used and applications will be considered on a case by case basis. Bachelor degrees from NARIC or government recognised institutions can normally be accepted for master’s studies:

A score of 60-80% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1

A score of 50-59% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2

A score of less than 50% is considered comparable to a UK 3 and would require the completion of a pre-masters course

MBBS – Professional Bachelor degrees are accepted on to our postgraduate programmes providing the equivalent scores meet our entry requirements (2:1 or 2:2 course dependant) the same as normal Bachelor degree programmes from India.

11/08/16 – A recent UKVI change allows us to confirm applicants who hold a provisional degree certificate, qualifications must be recorded on the system showing it is only a provisional certificate as this information needs to documented on the CAS.
