Stratford-upon-Avon is the birthplace of William Shakespeare and is rich in culture and history.

Set in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, on the banks of the river Avon, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK.

You can visit the five houses in or near Stratford-upon-Avon connected with William Shakespeare and his family. The Shakespearian properties offer a unique experience of Stratford, where the famous dramatist and poet was born, lived and died. There are many more points of historic interest to be discovered just by walking through the town. The town is easy to explore and there are plenty of things to see including modern shops, old-fashioned buildings, some with unusual features such as terracotta dragons on roofs and the beautiful River Avon. For this trip we have arranged a two-hour tour with the knowledgeable “Blue Badge Guides”. Save any questions you may have about the town and its history for them!
