You will visit the town of Ironbridge to see the world's first cast iron bridge. Built in 1779, the bridge spans the River Severn. You can walk along the river and explore the local shops and cafés. At 4.45pm you will travel the short distance to Blists Hill Victorian Town where the townsfolk will be celebrating Guy Fawkes' foiled Gunpowder Plot with a fantastic fireworks display accompanied by music.
You will also be able to talk to the costumed residents in their cottages, shops and other places of work and hear about life in the late 1800's. In the Foundry you can see molten iron being poured in to moulds during the dramatic iron casting demonstration.
