About

David has taught both Science and English since 1987, he was born in Manchester and his hobbies include landscape photography and nature conservation.

In terms of teaching, David has designed courses and materials for students and teachers of English.

For the former this includes courses and materials for a diverse range of subjects including Quantity Surveying, Public Health and Engineering.

In terms of teacher development David has designed courses and materials for two basic types of course; culture based and methodology based. These have run successfully over a number of years. 

David has also had an input on the testing of students in both receptive and productive skills and enjoys teaching and helping students develop their skills and confidence and helping overseas teachers in their professional development and creativity.

Qualifications

  • First degree in Applied Biology Class 2 Division 1
  • MSC in Pollution and Environmental Control from Manchester University: Merit
  • PGCE from Manchester University: Science and TEFL

David is keen to expand and develop curriculum design and materials development  in both EAP and ESP and enhance overseas teaching experience.
