The University of Wolverhampton offers a range of workshops for staff from schools, VET institutions and adult education providers based in Europe. These cover all aspects of organisational development and subject-specific support, as well as language training and creative topics. Bespoke courses are also available on request. Many of our workshops can be funded through the Erasmus+ Key Action 1 mobility programme.
KA1 mobility grants fund staff from certain organisations to attend skill-based courses in a European country and provide personal development opportunities. People can attend a training course in a participating country that relates to, and will enhance, their skills while providing them with a strong European perspective on a specific theme or topic.
Schools, VET institutions or adult education providers can apply on behalf of their staff, which includes:
The courses are offered by several different elements of the University, including the International Academy, the School of Education and the Faculty of Arts. Courses are from 3-5 days in length (not including travel time) and cover a range of topics (see below). Longer-term courses with accreditation options, and bespoke courses tailored to your organisation, are also available on request. All courses are managed by a central team and the content is delivered by subject specialists throughout the week. For those interested in the performing and creative arts, the Faculty of Arts has dedicated studios and workshops which offer extensive facilities for newcomers and advanced practitioners alike. It also offers specialist sessions in its all-Steinway school.
