Preparing for Uni Day

       Are you starting your studies at the University of Wolverhampton in September 2019?

-        Would you like to know more about what to expect on Day 1?

-        Do you have a disability, specific learning difficulty or mental health condition?

If you have answered Yes to these questions then we have a fantastic opportunity just for you. The University Student Support and Wellbeing Team, along with the Students’ Union, have organised  ‘Preparing for Uni’ days.

These will be fun, informative and a great way to get to know what will happen when you start University….you will get to meet key staff, meet other students, get to know about the University services and get answers to all of your questions…

Before you attend, here are some things to do, but don’t worry if you haven’t, please come along regardless: 

  • If you have not already done so, please register with Student Support and Wellbeing by completing an online Self-Declaration form.
  • You also need to provide SSW with your medical evidence or diagnostic report to confirm your diagnosed condition (DSA disability evidence form).
  • If you have already been awarded DSA support, please bring your DSA 2 letter (from Student Finance) with you (confirming your allocated support), as well as a copy of your Needs Assessment Report.

Preparing for Uni day Overnight Stay - Monday 2nd to 3rd September 2019

Overnight Experience for Students with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) only

The Student Support and Wellbeing (SSW) team are planning a free two day event for applicants who have disclosed an Autism Spectrum condition. It’s a great way to meet applicants and staff.

The Programme starts at 10:30am on Monday 2nd September and finishes at 2:30 pm on Tuesday 3rd September 2019 and is designed to help new students with Autism and Asperger’s to explore key skills they may need to live independently at university and when sharing accommodation with other students.

There are a limited number of places which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please book early to ensure you have a place by going to: Preparing for Uni day Overnight Stay - Monday 2nd to 3rd September 2019
