WLVArchitecture students shine at Best in the Built Environment Showcase

Earlier this summer, the University of Wolverhampton’s Architecture and Architectural Design Technology students took centre stage at the prestigious Best in the Built Environment Graduate Showcase, held in Birmingham.
Hosted by Chetwoods in partnership with RIBA West Midlands, the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) and The Senator Group, the event brought together industry and the region’s brightest emerging talent in architecture and architectural technology from West Midlands universities.
Set against the stunning backdrop of The Senator Group rooftop showroom, the Showcase drew together students, staff, and industry professionals from across the West Midlands, creating a vibrant forum to share ideas, spark collaborations, and celebrate the future of architecture and construction. The event celebrated bold ideas, technical expertise, and fresh thinking from students who have just completed their degree course and are now preparing to embark on their professional journeys.
Six exceptional WLVArchitecture students from the BSc Architecture and BSc Architectural Design Technology programmes presented their work alongside colleagues and friends from Birmingham City University and Coventry University. The students' work demonstrated innovation, creativity and technical rigour.
Professor David Heesom, Interim Head of WLVArchitecture, said: “We are immensely proud of our students for the dedication and talent they have shown throughout their studies. It was fantastic for students and staff to attend this showcase and celebrate our graduates as they move on to the next part of their journey. As always, our students did us proud and not only highlighted their individual achievements but also reinforces the University of Wolverhampton’s commitment to developing the next generation of architecture professionals.”
Special thanks were extended to the team at Chetwoods, including Sagal Rooble and Philippa Birch-Wood for bringing the event to life and creating an evening for everyone to remember for a long time to come.
