The conference is open to students, staff and members of the public - anyone who is interested in the current debates around mental health. It is a chance to discuss the critical questions around the biomedical model in mental health. It will bring together experts from diverse backgrounds who challenge the culture of psychiatric diagnosis and support non-pathologising, trauma-informed alternatives in responding to distress.
