World Autism Awareness Week

The University will be marking World Autism Awareness Week with a series of events, w/c 1 April 2019.

Pioneered by the National Autistic Society (NAS) World Autism Awareness Week, which runs from Monday 1 April 2019, aims to educate those unaware of Autism, and to help make the world friendlier to those who live with Autism.

Here, at The University of Wolverhampton, we are proud to celebrate and highlight some of the amazing skills and talents that our students with autism have as well as promoting the positive support in place for students including our ASC Social Group.

The University has worked with students to design a number of workshops and events which aim to help raise awareness of autism - both for staff and students with Autism and for staff and students who would like to understand more about Autism.

There will be workshops on:

  • Basic autism awareness
  • Being LGBT and on the autism spectrum
  • Mental Health and autism
  • Top tips for applying for jobs for people with autism with the careers service

And more!
