TEDx Wolverhampton - tickets now available

Zoe Mason, STEM Engagement and Outreach Officer, and Dr Martin Khechara, Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science and Fellow of Public Engagement for STEM, from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, have forged links with local volunteers and the University to support the project management team with the first ever TEDx to come to Wolverhampton.

The theme Mind the Gap: Building Bridges will be explored by our very own Professor Laura Caulfield, Director of the Institute for Community Research and Development, Professor Sebastian Groes, Professor in English Literature - 50th Anniversary Chair in English, and PhD student Robert Francis, alongside a range of other local speakers.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events which bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDx events, live speakers and TEDTalks videos combine to spark a discussion and connection in a small group.

TEDx Wolverhampton will explore the gaps that exist in community, knowledge, relationships, society and understanding along with discovering how these things can be bridged. The line-up of amazing speakers will provoke discussion, capture your imagination and inspire you. This is along with several local artists and performers ready to entertain you.

TEDx Wolverhampton runs from 9:30am to 4:30pm on Saturday 6 April 2019, located at the Light House, The Chubb Buildings, Fryer Street, Wolverhampton.

Tickets and further information regarding the event are available on the website: Tickets are limited to 100, and with over 50% already sold, advice is to be quick!
