Help the University to achieve our sustainability goals

The University of Wolverhampton has committed to the goal of reaching Carbon Neutral by 2030 and emitting Zero Waste by 2030.
Our Estates & Facilities department are working towards achieving these goals by focusing on the following things:
- Identifying opportunities to reduce carbon emissions from buildings through technology such as solar panels and heat pumps.
- Applying for funding opportunities to support building improvements.
- Reviewing the University Temperature Policy and reducing building heating and cooling where possible.
Top 5 Tips to Reduce Carbon Emissions and Waste:
- Turn off all electrical devices fully (not just on standby).
- Re-use drinks cups and water bottles to avoid single use cups and plastics.
- Check the information on recycling bins to recycle as much as possible taking care not to contaminate recycling with waste.
- Repair, fix, swap or buy second hand instead of buying new.
- Print less.
