Accessing university services over the summer

The academic year might be coming to a close, but the University is still here to support you over the summer break. Whether you're staying on campus or heading home for a while, we're here to help you.

ASK@WLV

ASK@WLV is here to answer any questions you might have about your course and life at the University of Wolverhampton. No question is too big or too small.

You can help yourself to lots of useful information 24/7 in e:Vision using the FAQs and log a Help Call any time of day if you can't find the answer or need further support.

To speak to someone on the phone, you can call 01902 518 518. You can also find ASK@WLV at City Campus in the Ambika Paul Building, at Walsall Campus in the Performance Hub, and Telford Campus in Darby Building. Opening times are from 10am to 5pm.

Whether you ask your question online or in person, our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be on hand to respond quickly to your query.

Mental health and wellbeing services

The University's Mental health and wellbeing team provide a wide range of support, including access to online self-help resources and the mental health platform Togetherall. You can also register for support using the online form.

For more information on what the service offers, please visit the Mental health and wellbeing webpage.

If you need support immediately, use this urgent mental health support list.

Staying safe on campus

If you're planning to be on campus during the summer break, we recommend downloading the SafeZone app. It allows you to contact the Security team directly if you are in an immediate emergency or require first aid. You can also use the 'check-in' function to inform Security of your location if you're alone for extra peace of mind.

You can also continue to report issues of harassment, bullying and other inappropriate behaviour through our dedicated confidential form.

Financial support

If you need financial support, our Hardship Fund is still open to all students. You can apply regardless of your level of study, nationality, or social background. The fund is to help students overcome financial hardship or unforeseen expenses, and you can use the money to support your living costs, including accommodation over the summer break.

Drop-in funding surgeries

The Funding team and the SU are running drop-in funding surgeries to support students with any finance-related queries.

  • Monday 20 to Friday 24 June, from 10am to 4pm
  • Monday 8 to Friday 12 August, from 10am to 4pm

No booking is required; drop into the Harrison Library at City Campus with any questions or concerns you have about funding.

During the surgeries, we'll be able to advise you on the financial support available to you, such as hardship funding, emergency loans and signposting to further support.

Library opening hours

During the summer break, the Harrison Library, Walsall Library and Hutchison Library will remain open with amended opening hours. You can keep up to date with the latest opening times on the Library website.

IT Support

IT Services are here to support you if you encounter any IT issues over the summer. As always, you can help yourself to lots of helpful information and log an IT support query 24/7 in the IT Portal.
