As part of our constant drive to improve services for you via the Digital Campus Programme we will be introducing an improved library service over the summer.

When you come back in the next academic year you will find:

  • Learning Centres renamed to Libraries
  • New and improved library resource search system making it easier for you to find things.
  • Books automatically renewed once a week unless wanted by another borrower.
  • From August you’ll only be charged if a book you want is overdue and somebody else has said they need it.
  • Once we’ve told you somebody else needs a book you’ll have a week to bring it back. If you bring it back after that then you’ll be charged a pound a day.
  • Quicker and easier to borrow books and other items.
  • Shiny new self-service machines in all libraries.

The new library systems will also be fully integrated with myWLV meaning you can view your library account along with all your other services in one place.

Do you need to pay fines for books you’ve had out too long? Don’t worry we’ve waived all fines all we’d like you to do is bring the books back.

Full details of all the changes taking place with libraries this summer and how the new borrowing and charging will work, can be found by clicking here.
