New café and bar and shop to open doors at Walsall

The University is increasing services and opening times for catering outlets and opening a new shop at Walsall Campus, following feedback from students and staff. 

A new Campus Store will open on 28 January 2019 in the Jerome K Jerome building and an additional café and bar will open in the Performance Hub in February.

The outlets will open on a cashless basis with all card payments accepted and also our loyalty scheme Yoyo where added value can be achieved for regular users using the University’s points scheme.

The overall campus opening times will therefore support a seven day operation at Walsall and an offering across additional buildings on campus:

Campus Store - Jerome K Jerome

The Store will open 28 January 2019:

• This building is central to the campus on the main boulevard
• The service provided will support the student experience seven days per week on campus, including during important exam and assessment weeks.
• Will sell essential retail items in addition to a grab and go selection of hot and cold products.

Performance Hub - Café and Bar

The outlet will open in February – we have everything on order so it’s coming soon …

• The offering will consist of a Barista coffee, grab and go offering premium branded sandwiches, snacks and cold drinks. This was based on the research undertaken with staff and students. 
• Evening service to support events:  Wine, soft drinks and bottled beer bar.  Snacks hot and cold dependent on the show and times required.
