Journalism students visit Express & Star newsroom

Political Editor Pete Madeley recently showed a group of BA Journalism students, including one lecturer, around the editorial floor of the Express and Star and spoke to reporters in different departments about their job roles.

They were also given the opportunity to ask any questions they had.

The students were so eager to see the newsroom during work hours.

Mark Goddard, Lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton, said: "The tour was a great experience for the students as they got to see a live, working newsroom.

"Thanks to the Express & Star for having us."

Communications executive Rebecca Heyes, who helped co-ordinate the tour, said: "The students really enjoyed their visit to our offices and were given the chance to see how a newsroom works."
