09/04/2020

Easter Bank Holiday

Please do remember that the University will be closed for the Easter Bank Holiday period from Good Friday, 10 April 2020 and VIRTUALLY reopening again on Wednesday 15th April 2020.  There will not be any physical access to University buildings until the government lifts lockdown restrictions but staff will be online to teach again on Wednesday 15th April.

Online resources will still be available for you to continue your studies and you will still be able to access canvas and e:Vision.

Easter Library Support Availability

The library ASSIST chat service will still be available and all chats will be answered by Librarians at other institutions, who will be able to deal with most enquiries.

Any outstanding enquiries will be referred back to Wolverhampton University Library staff who will reply on Wednesday 15 April.

Inter-library loans

Inter-library loan requests for electronic resources received over this period will also be picked up from Wednesday 15 April.

Skills support

Don’t forget that all the library Skills for Learning online study guides are all still available over the Easter break and some of your common queries may be answered by viewing the current library FAQ.

Student Q&A

Thanks to everyone who took part in the Live Q&A last week. We hope we managed to answer some of your questions.  We will be looking to host a similar event over the coming weeks so look out for future updates.

Your health and wellbeing

We recognise that these are difficult times and the ever changing nature of the COVID-19 crisis is affecting people in all kinds of different ways.  Your health and wellbeing is a priority for us and we also realise that you are reaching a crucial stage in your studies and need all the support that you can get – both with your learning and with your wellbeing.

The Student Support and Wellbeing Team has created a form that you can fill out if you feel you need someone from the University to stay in touch with you over the coming weeks. The welfare form is available at www.wlv.ac.uk/welfare. If you don’t have access to the internet you can call 01902 321834 between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday or email: student@wlv.ac.uk.

There is also a wealth of other information that you may find useful if you are looking for support in other areas: https://www.wlv.ac.uk/current-students/student-support/student-support-and-wellbeing-ssw/

In the meantime, do try to enjoy a restful Bank Holiday weekend and please do continue to follow government guidelines about social distancing and staying at home.
