The module introduces the skills required within a structured and organised approach building the essential knowledge required to gather a comprehensive history taking combined with the core systematic approach to a physical examination. The module is suitable for practitioners(Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates or Allied Health Professionals) caring for acutely ill patients in general care areas (for example; general and specialist wards and departments, assessment units, and Emergency Departments). The module will focus on enhancing evidence-based practice, theoretical knowledge and clinical skills in the provision of care for the deteriorating acutely ill patient, by developing your clinical acumen and confidence. You will be required to identify an appropriate registered health care professional in your clinical practice setting to support you in completion of the clinical practice element of the module.
