UK Student Recruitment Manager
Zoe is the UK Student Recruitment Manager at the University of Wolverhampton, leading a dedicated team committed to transforming lives through higher education.
A proud Wulfrunian, Zoe began her academic journey as a mature student, studying History at the University of Wolverhampton. She is now continuing her learning by pursuing a part-time Master’s degree in Data Science at the same institution.
Throughout her career, Zoe has held a variety of roles within the University and remains deeply passionate about its mission and impact. She is also a published author and actively involved in the local community as a member of the production team for TEDx Wolverhampton, where she supports and promotes regional talent and voices.
Amarjit Duggal
Recruitment Coordinator - Faculty of Science and Engineering
Ama is a lively and enthusiastic member of the UK Recruitment Team, working closely with the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
She loves what she does – especially getting out and about to deliver engaging presentations and hands-on subject workshops to students in Years 11–13, as well as to the wider public. She works with schools, colleges, and community groups across the UK, helping to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
Outside of work, Ama is a Co-Opted Governor at a local secondary school and enjoys organising events for friends and family. She’s currently learning to play the dhol drum – and loving every beat of it!
Lee Wallis
Recruitment Assistant - Faculty of Science and Engineering
Lee is a recruitment assistant for the Faculty of Science and Engineering. With a BA in Drama, a background in acting and he is currently still serving in Army Reserves, he is looking into developing further knowledge in the field of recruiting after recruiting with his unit. Lee enjoys reality television, sports and discovering new places to eat.
Suzie Lavender
Recruitment Assistant - Faculty of Science and Engineering
Suzie is a Recruitment Assistant aligned with FSE at the University of Wolverhampton. As a proud alumna, she holds both a BA (Hons) and an MA in Applied Art & Design (Glass) from the university.
Outside of her role in recruitment, Suzie is an accomplished glassmaker. From her studio in Wolverhampton, she creates and sells handcrafted glass artworks to customers across the globe.
Suzie’s background is as creative as it is diverse—she has previously worked as a City Ambassador for Enjoy Wolverhampton BID and ran her own DJ and entertainments business.
Whether supporting future scientists and engineers or creating beautiful works in glass, Suzie brings creativity, energy, and dedication to everything she does.
Laura Janavicius
Recruitment Coordinator - Faculty of Education, Health & Wellbeing
Laura is a Recruitment Coordinator aligned with the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing. Before stepping into her current role, she worked within the faculty itself, gaining a strong understanding of its courses and student experience.
She enjoys connecting with prospective applicants and especially loves being part of events like Open Days, where she can play a small but meaningful role in someone's university journey.
Laura is also a proud graduate of the University of Wolverhampton, having completed her degree in Event and Venue Management in 2018.
Trude Hagen
Recruitment Coordinator - Faculty of Education, Health & Wellbeing
Trude is a Recruitment Coordinator aligned with the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing. She enjoys engaging with prospective students through in-school sessions, campus visits, large-scale events such as open days, and various outreach activities designed to support their transition into higher education.
In addition, Trude contributes to initiatives aimed at facilitating progression from undergraduate to postgraduate study, as well as supporting those returning to education to pursue postgraduate qualifications.
With a background in the humanities, Trude has held multiple roles within the university, gaining valuable experience in both student recruitment and conversion.
Saul Wallis
Recruitment Assistant - Faculty of Education, Health & Wellbeing
Saul is a Recruitment Assistant aligned with the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing. He brings over 20 years of teaching experience, having worked in a range of secondary schools both across the West Midlands and internationally. His background includes teaching Core PE, GCSE and A-Level subjects, as well as supporting students in sixth form education.
Outside of work, Saul enjoys coaching basketball in the local community and spending quality time with his family, often getting involved in a wide variety of sports.

Munimur is a Recruitment Assistant aligned with the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing. He holds a BA in Business and Marketing from the University of Wolverhampton and is committed to continually developing his expertise in the field. He is particularly passionate about inspiring and encouraging the next generation to pursue higher education.
Outside of work, he’s a keen runner and has completed more than 15 half marathons—with plenty more planned!

Recruitment Assistant - Faculty of Arts, Business, and Social Sciences
Sam serves as the Recruitment Assistant for the Faculty of Arts, Business, and Social Sciences. A proud graduate of the university, he holds a BA in Illustration and is currently pursuing an MA in Digital and Visual Communication.
In his role as Co-Chair of the LGBT Staff Network, Sam is dedicated to supporting and advocating for LGBT+ colleagues throughout the university. He is passionate about fostering interest in the creative industries among young people and regularly visits schools and colleges to present on the faculty’s courses and opportunities.
Sam’s work centers on building strong connections with prospective students, educators, and partner institutions.
Outside of his professional commitments, Sam is an avid tabletop gamer, with particular enthusiasm for Dungeons & Dragons and Call of Cthulhu.
