On-Campus Location Guidance for Selection Events
Many courses include an on-campus selection event — such as an interview, portfolio review, or assessment day — before a decision is made on your application. Please use the subject pages (on the left) to check whether your chosen course includes one of these events.
Below is guidance on how to get to and around our campuses.
Getting to Wolverhampton (City) Campus - WV1 1LY
By Road
- The nearest motorway junction is Junction 10 of the M6.
- The University is split into City Campus North and City Campus South, both signposted from the Ring Road and the A449.
Parking: Metered parking is limited near the main reception on Wulfruna Street. Nearby public pay-and-display car parks include:
- Civic Centre Car Park (end of Wulfruna Street)
- Whitmore/Broad Street Long-Term Car Park

By Public Transport

Bus: Buses arrive from across Wolverhampton and the West Midlands. From the bus station:
- Exit and walk straight ahead past Sainsbury’s Local (on your left).
- Continue to the crossroads and go straight down Lichfield Street.
- At the next junction, turn right onto Princess Square.
- You’ll see The George, the first University building — welcome to the University Quarter.

Train: Wolverhampton station is on major lines including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, and Edinburgh. From the station:
- Exit and walk straight ahead.
- Veer right across the bridge over the Ring Road.

Metro: The Midland Metro runs every 10 minutes from Birmingham Grand Central to Wolverhampton St Georges.
- Exit the Metro station and walk toward Primark.
- Cross the road and turn right alongside Marks & Spencer.
- Continue along the road until you reach a crossroads.
- Cross over and follow the path around the Royal London Buildings.
- You’ll arrive at The George — the start of the University Quarter.

Getting to Walsall Campus - WS1 3BD
By Road
- Just minutes from Junction 9 of the M6.
- Take the A461 Bescott Road toward Walsall.
- Follow the right fork of the A4148 (signposted Birmingham).
- The visitor entrance is via Gorway Road, accessible from Jesson Road off The Broadway roundabout.
Parking: Available on both sides of the campus.
By Public Transport
- Bus: The Number 51 bus runs from Walsall Bus Station to Jesson Road near campus.
- Train: Walsall Station is served by West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway. From the station:
- Walk to the bus station and take the Number 51 bus, or
- Take a short taxi ride to campus.

Getting to Springfield Campus - WV10 0JR
By Road
- Springfield Campus is located just off the A449 Stafford Road, north of Wolverhampton city centre.
- From Junction 10 of the M6, follow signs for Wolverhampton city centre, then take the A449 northbound.
- Turn onto Cambridge Street, then Grimstone Street — the campus entrance will be signposted.
Parking: Limited on-site parking is available for visitors. Additional public car parks are located nearby, including those around the city centre.
By Public Transport
- Bus: Several local buses serve the area around Stafford Road. From Wolverhampton Bus Station, take a bus heading toward Stafford Road and alight near Cambridge Street.
- Train: From Wolverhampton Train Station, Springfield Campus is a short taxi ride or approximately a 20-minute walk. Alternatively, take a bus from the station toward Stafford Road.
- Metro: The Midland Metro terminates at Wolverhampton St Georges. From there, walk or take a bus toward Stafford Road.
