Interviews, Test & Auditions
As part of the application process for some courses, we may ask you to attend an interview, test or audition. This is so that we can get to know you a little bit better and to assess your suitability for the course.
We will send you an invitation via email, and you must confirm your attendance via e:Vision, as shown below. If you need to rearrange the date, then please log a Helpdesk Call via e:Vision.
For some creative courses, you may be required to bring evidence of your work with you, such as a portfolio (see Art and Design Portfolio Guidance), or you may be asked to do a presentation. You will be informed of this in advance.
Nursing applicants can find useful information about recruitment and selection for our programmes on the Faculty website: http://www.wlv.ac.uk/about-us/our-schools-and-institutes/faculty-of-education-health-and-wellbeing/institute-of-health-professions/iohp-interview-preparation/
Tips for attending an interview:
- Make sure you have read through your interview letter and any tasks on e:Vision - if you have to bring anything with you such as ID or certificates, it will be listed here
- Find out when and where your interview will take place - which campus or building will you have to go to? Give yourself plenty of time to get there
- Prepare yourself to answer questions - you may be asked to demonstrate an understanding of your subject area
- Dress appropriately to show you're taking the interview seriously
