I’m the technician for the Musical Theatre course where I support staff and students by designing set, operating live sound and recording in the studio. I also assist for the music/pop and tech courses in the theatre and recording studios. I have a first class B.A (Hons) and an MSc with distinction in Music Technology. I have recently become a Pro Tools User instructor.

During Joe’s MSc he conducted research on how a demo recording progresses to the final mix. Using theory informed practice to show links between the testing and evaluating similar medias: video game demos, concept art and software beta testing. Joe plans on beginning a PhD in the immersion of video game sound in the near future.

Joe studied for a BA (Hons) in Music Technology and Popular Music at the University of Wolverhampton where he achieved a First Class degree. He went on to study a Master of Science in Music Technology at the university where he was awarded a distinction.
