James Stanyer is a lecturer in Social Policy at the University Of Wolverhampton.  Completing his BA (hons) degree in Politics and Social Policy at the University in 2016, James moved to the University of Birmingham where he graduated with an MA Social Policy.  Upon returning to Wolverhampton James commenced doctoral research within the Institute for Community Research and Development and has since worked as a research assistant within the ICRD.  James began his teaching career in 2017 at the University before becoming a full time member of the team in summer 2021.

James Stanyer is interested in inclusive growth, levelling up and regional growth policy.  In addition to this James researches on topics including food insecurity, asylum seekers and refugees and disability.
