Elaine is a Senior Lecturer and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AdvanceHE). She has forty years of teaching experience, having spent 12 years teaching English in schools and 28 years teaching in Higher Education. She joined the University of Wolverhampton in 2001. Elaine leads (and has led) a number of Postgraduate courses in the Department of Management and Leadership in UWBS, located within the Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences. Elaine also co-leads the IoD Mentoring scheme for level six Business School Students. She is also involved in Employee Engagement initiatives at the University.
Additionally, Elaine has extensive involvement outside the University in an advisory capacity: in policing, in health and in social care, as she is a member of a wide range of Boards, Committees and Advisory Panels, and a Town Councillor (in Staffordshire). Her hobbies include writing (short stories, poetry and blogs), reading, walking, theatre, and French culture.
