Amanda graduated from the University in 2016 with a First Class honours degree in International Hospitality Management, and completed her MA Hospitality and Event Management degree in 2018, alongside her PGCE (M).

Amanda has 15 years of experience working in the hospitality industry at a range of levels, mostly in hotels and restaurants, including overseas work in France and Australia. She has also previously run her own eco tourism bed and breakfast business. Amanda was appointed as Graduate Teaching Assistant in September 2016 and then as a Lecturer in 2018. 

Amanda is highly student-focused, and as a recent graduate of the University, she is well-positioned to support students as she understands the student journey so is well-placed to provide holistic support to students at every stage of their student experience. She enjoys making learning fun and strives to produce creative and unique resources to engage and stimulate students, and arranges exciting field trips for particular modules to enhance and contextualise subjects and topics.
