Areas of expertise

Family and Child Law, English Legal System, Tort, Contract, Legal Skills

I practised locally as a solicitor specialising in family and child law, civil litigation, probate and Court of Protection work prior to taking a career break. I then started lecturing law in the North- East of England, initially as a visiting lecturer but then in a full-time post moving back down to Wolverhampton in order to take up a position as a lecturer at what was then Wolverhampton Polytechnic. Over my years at Wolverhampton I have been module leader for many different modules and have been course leader for various awards including the LLB full and part time, CPE and law joint degrees.
My primary areas of interest lie in the fields of family and child law media and communications law.
