Teaching interests

My teaching and research interests revolve around Enterprise, Entrepreneurship, Creativity, Innovation and Strategic Management. More recently I have been working with Third Sector organisations.

Corporate and community engagement Third sector engagement, links with charities and social enterprises, research on how Third Sector organisations can meet the challenges they face in their current operating environment. As part of my module Entrepreneurial Creativity and Innovation, we work with charity partners challenging our students to conceive and deliver creative fundraising activities and over £50,000 has been distributed among local charities. Lead academic on KTP with Fabweld Steel Products Ltd Completed July 2010. Worked with schools and academies through Education Partnerships.
Professional body membership and roles

I have conducted mapping exercises for both undergraduate and post-graduate programmes against the Charted Management Institute awards, resulting the accreditation of the Level 5 management and Leadership Award for our completing BA Business Management students. Fellow of the Higher Education Academy

Research interests

My research interests relate to my teaching, I have presented at the IEP C conference, At Enterprise Educators events, at the UCB research conference, and internally at the Institute of Learning Enhancement.  I have participated in a European transversal study visit on ‘Entrepreneurial learning and Enterprise Education; tried and tested initiatives’. Recent publication in the Directory of Entrepreneurial Learning : South America

External academic roles

I have experience of validation panels internally and externally, of QAA reviews as Subject Contact and was a member of the Edexcel Regional Work group.
