Professor of Conflict Studies, Stephen Badsey, is set to appear in a BBC Two documentary to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings. The programme 'Gallipoli: When Murdoch Went To War', focuses on the involvement of Rupert Murdoch's father, Keith Murdoch in the campaign. Keith Murdoch was a young journalist at the time and, according to legend, played a pivotal role in ending the bloodbath that was Gallipoli.
The programme seeks to find the truth behind the famous story, with interviews and dramatic reconstructions.
Professor Badsey is one of a group of experts to be interviewed, including Rupert Murdoch, Sir Max Hastings and Sir Hew Strachan.
He said: "I was interviewed on the media and propaganda aspects of the story, and the broad strategy."
BBC Two, Saturday 25 April from 8.30pm to 9.30pm
