Supporting the post-16 college and sixth form curriculum

Our aim is to promote STEM subjects by supporting secondary schools/academies’ Years 12 and 13, providing opportunities to access expertise and equipment which would not otherwise be available to schools, colleges and community groups.

Check out our calendar for events confirmed.  Contact us at to plan an event if our current offerings do not meet your needs as we are happy to work with you to provide bespoke events.

Our wide range of support activity includes:

  • careers fairs
  • conventions and conferences
  • A-level curriculum support
  • teachers’ networks
  • laboratory access
  • research
  • applicant days
  • revision and coursework help sessions.

We are working with colleges and sixth forms to develop workshops that provide access to our state-of-the-art Outreach Laboratory, helping you to support the biology, science, physics and chemistry curriculum in A-Level delivery. Join our teachers’ networks and tell us how we can tailor workshops to your needs.

Example workshops include:

  • Forensics Ballistics
  • Flight Simulator and Aircraft Stability
  • Programming a Microcontroller
  • Spirometry
  • Human Evolution: Where do we come from?
  • What qualities do you need to be a good pharmacist?

We can deliver subject information workshops linked to our Degree programmes, providing students with details of what it’s like to study at Wolverhampton.
