I graduated in pharmacy in 1988 from the University of Bradford and have worked in all sectors of the profession since then, with a number of years working in primary care medicines management and as an NHS manager. I have completed research degrees at the University of Manchester and University of Central Lancashire. My PhD research concerned professional engagement of locum community pharmacists. Exploring how locums develop and maintain their professional identity and competence.
I joined the University of Wolverhampton in 2017 and my teaching interests include pharmacy therapeutics, continuing professional development, public health and pharmacy service development.
My ongoing research interests include professionalism, communities of practice and pedagogic research.
I am a pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
