Dr. Dhouha Kbaier

Dr Dhouha Kbaier Ben Ismail has joined the University of Wolverhampton as Senior Lecturer in Computer Networking. She worked before as a Lecturer in Telecommunications and Network Engineering at the University of Bedfordshire (UoB) where she was also actively involved in Transnational Education (TNE). Furthermore, she was also appointed at the University of Exeter as a Part-Time Lecturer in Digital Technology Infrastructure ensuring 20% face-to-face delivery and 80% E-Learning.
She received from Telecom Bretagne (Brest, France) both her PhD in 2011 and her MEng degree in 2008. She was specialized in Space Communications Systems in Toulouse, at the heart of the European Aerospace Industry. Prior to working at the UoB, she worked for several years as a post-doctoral research follow first at Telecom Bretagne, then with Thales Airborne Systems and finally at IFREMER. Thanks to her multidisciplinary research background, Dr Dhouha was awarded in 2016 by two French assistant professor qualifications in different fields. Additionally, she is Senior Fellow in the Higher Education Academy, a prestigious recognition within the UK for the contribution in leading teaching and learning.
Her research was particularly awarded by several productivity bonuses and two best paper awards. Her research interests include signal processing for telecommunications and oceanography, channel coding, error correction in VANET environments, satellite communications, etc.
