Biomedical science

Student at the University from 2000-2003 studying Human Physiology and Exercise Science. Graduated with First Class honours and recipient of Physiological Society prize. From 2003-2005 worked at Action Heart cardiac rehabilitation centre Russells Hall hospital Dudley, guiding and monitoring patients in supervised exercise. I have been working at the University since 2005 now as the Teaching Associate in physiology, assisting in a variety of teaching and student support activities. Other interests include cycling and eating cake.

Cardiovascular control mechanisms, parasympathetic nerve activity & exercise training.

Completing part-time PhD examining the influence of vagus nerve activity on post-exercise recovery.
