Email address: Phone number: 01902 518417 Location: Wolverhampton Faculty: Faculty of Education Health and Wellbeing School/Institute: Institute of Community and Society Areas of expertise: Children and Family Law and practice

I currently teach and contribute on social work modules covering children and families law and practice at BA and MA level, and sociology at BA level.  Proceeding this I worked in a variety of children and family, and youth justice social work settings as a support worker, social worker, senior social worker and manager.  Prior to returning to education (here at Wolverhampton initially) as a mature student and in-between experiencing periods of unemployment, I worked in a variety of manual settings including factory worker, building labourer and postal worker.

I am currently undertaking a PhD exploring white working class youth identity, and how this is constructed and negotiated against a background of social, cultural and economic change and uncertainty.
